Skunk #1

Skunk #1 needs no introduction as the cannabis strain that revolutionised cannabis culture more than three decades ago. The word "Skunk" has passed into common currency and is often used, chiefly by those outside of the world of cannabis, as a catch-all term for potent marijuana. It is a true-breeding strain that shows total consistency and reliability in cultivation and consumption. The term "hybrid vigour" could well have been coined to describe Skunk #1. It produces generous yields (approx. 100 gr/plant) of solid, resin-coated buds in double-quick time taking just 45 - 50 days of flowering to be ready to harvest indoors. Outdoors a warmer, sunny climate is more likely to give good results. The plants have an indica-like appearance although they do stretch a little more than pure indicas during florescence and will reach a height of 120 - 150 cm. Inter-nodal length is such that towards the end of flowering the buds tend to join up to form long colas. The 35% sativa genetics add a wonderful lift to the heavier indica stone and it is small wonder that this strain has become synonymous with potent cannabis. It must be said that any references to Skunk #1's "lethal" qualities have been somewhat exaggerated though.
