Mexican Sativa

Description

Mexican Sativa Feminised is a sativa-dominant cannabis strain for outdoor cultivation in cooler climate regions. It is an elegant, tall plant which grows vigorously producing elongated buds on long branches. Yields are good. Mexican sativa was bred from a Mexican strain from the Oaxaca region. This was crossed with Durban and a Hash Plant from Pakistan. The result was then crossed back to the Oaxacan, stabilising it, before making it a feminised strain. Three pheno-types are produced; two are typically sativa, tall plants with long. slender buds. The third is an indica expression with a Christmas tree structure and fatter buds and is far less common than the other two. This strain takes very well to training, LST and super-cropping irrespective of the environment in which they are grown; indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse. This 70% sativa strain can quadruple in size during the stretch period following the commencement of flowering and plants can reach a height of in excess of 200 cm. For this reason it is recommended to give plants a short vegetative period before switching to 12/12 indoors. Pinching out the tops will also result in a plant with a bushier structure. Indoors flowering will take up to 10 weeks with outdoor harvests being ready at the end of October or in early November. The perfume and flavour of Mexican Sativa is quite restrained during flowering but intensifies when the buds are dried and cured. Licorice and citrus overlay earthy, woody, spicy flavours. The effect is potent and energising with feelings of euphoria and giggling often reported by smokers. The Hash Plant genetics contribute a more relaxing side too, providing a gently body-stone which is quite relaxing. Physical activities can be enjoyed as there is little of the traditional "heavy" feeling with this strain of cannabis. It is an all-round satisfying high that is long-lasting and durable.
