La Cucuracha
La Cucuracha is an indica-dominant strain with Afghani roots. Its forgiving nature reflects its name as it is a tenacious survivor, difficult to destroy inadvertently, which makes a great first strain for beginners but which has enough quality to interest those with more experience. High THC, good yields and a short flowering all help to make this a great choice. Well suited to all growing environments, La Cucuracha reaches a height of 100 - 150 cm. tall. Vegetative growth is slow to get going but once flowering is induced the brakes come off as it explodes with a growth spurt and actually requires so little maintenance that it is a boon to those who lack enough time to dedicate to other strains. Indoors it flowers in 55 - 65 days with yields in the region of 550 gr/m2. When cultivated outdoors in the northern hemisphere it will be ready to harvest at the beginning of September. La Cucuracha has a sweet, spicy scent while the taste is musky and earthy - quite typical for indica and indica-dominant strains. THC levels are around 21% with low CBD and its effect is that of a mellow, stone-y high that is lovely and relaxing without being too heavy or inducing couch-lock.
