L.A. Gelato

L.A. Gelato was created with help from renowned US cannabis breeder Sherbinski. It is 75% indica bred by crossing Acai Berry Gelato with 3 Kings Blueberry Headband and it displays pronounced indica-dominant traits. L.A. Gelato boasts very high levels of THC production, good yields indoors but truly extravagant harvests when cultivated outdoors. This is a highly vigorous strain and one which also has a very healthy appetite for nutrients. With high adaptability to a range of climates and good resistance to plant diseases. In common with many indica and indica-dominant strains its stretch is limited to approximately 30% once flowering is initiated. Branching is profuse as is the amount of foliage which will benefit from thinning out to allow better light penetration to the interior bud sites. Staking or trellising is recommended to help support its heavy bud development in order to prevent branches from snapping. Indoors flowering takes between 60 - 67 days with yields in the range 450 - 550 gr/m2 and planted to a recommended density of between 6 - 9 plants/m2. Outdoors these plants can grow to an enormous 300 - 400 cm. tall and yielding between 3000 - 4000 gr. each with northern hemisphere harvests being ready in mid-October. Buds are large, dense and display some very attractive purple colouration, especially with increasing day/night temperature variations. A complex terpene profile is reminiscent of ginger cookies, cinnamon, clove and pepper spices accompanied by notes of sweet berries, citrus peel and cedar wood. Very high THC production is up to 25% with just 0.1% CBD. Its effect is very potent, stimulating the mind while providing profoundly soothing relaxation.
