Elixir Vitae CBD

Elixir Vitae CBD (or Elixir of Life CBD) is a therapeutic strain of cannabis with a very high CBD:THC ratio. It was bred by crossing the strains medical CBD and Jean Dark CBD. Elixir Vitae CBD is 70% indica and can be cultivated indoors and outdoors. If grown indoors it is advised to only allow 1 - 2 weeks of the vegetative growth cycle before switching to flowering by reducing the lighting provision to 12 hours per 24. Flowering will then take up to a further 9 weeks and the shortened period allowed for initial growth will help to reduce the final height of the plants. Yields are likely to be in the region of 400 gr/m2. Outdoors plants will reach a height of between 100 - 200 cm. depending both on conditions and at what stage of the spring/summer they are planted. In this environment each plant can produce as much as 800 gr. with northern hemisphere harvests being ready by late September. Pink and/or violet pistils make it a particularly attractive specimen. The jean dark CBD contributes its complex terpene profile with caramel hints and some bitter-sweet notes. CBD production falls within the range 9 - 14% while THC is very low at between 0.15 - 0.25% giving a "worst case" CBD:THC ratio of 36:1. Due to the proportion of these cannabinoids Elixir Vitae CBD does not impart any psycho-active effects or the familiar red-eye or cotton mouth.
