Durban-Thai x C99

Durban-Thai x C99 is a female only version of a highly successful cannabis strain that was first created in the year 2000 before winning a cannabis Cup under a different name. It is mostly sativa and produces good yields of sweet-smelling buds in the form of long colas. This is a very stable strain that will take 65 - 70 days to finish flowering following a vegetative period of 6 - 8 weeks. It was created from 2 female plants with the C99 being treated with STS (silver thiosulphate) to induce it to produce male pollen. After the switch to 12/12 the stretch is quite minimal. It grows with great hybrid vigour and resembles a big Skunk plant with highly aromatic, dense, sticky, resinous buds. Although it is advisable to support the central stem of these plants with a stake the side-branches will be able to support their buds. Brothers Grimm recommend "lollipopping" these branches, removing lower buds, in order to focus the plant's energies on producing a dense agglomeration of flowers at the end of the branches. A plant of just over a metre tall (4 feet) will produce between 110 - 140 gr. of superb buds. Even those plants which are given just a couple of weeks of veg. and finish at just 18" tall will yield an ounce or so (30 gr). The scent is very sweet with tart notes of tropical fruit and its taste is reminiscent of candy floss (cotton candy). The effect is uplifting, cerebral and very creative making it a great selection for musicians and other artists.
