Chempie

Chempie is a new strain that features 3 illustrious parents in its background. Chempie is a cross of a Cherry Pie x Chemdawg that was bred with Do-Si-Dos to give a 60% sativa plant that produces high yields with a potent, social high which will encourage interactions with friends and new acquaintances alike. Indoors a vegetative growth phase of between two to four weeks is strongly recommended before the switch to flowering takes place. Yields are said to be high. One very interesting feature of this strain is its excellent response to being "fimmed"- a pruning method similar to topping with the major difference being that while topping removes the whole new growth from the meristem (apical node) fimming removes half of it leaving some behind. The effect is that whereas topping results in the growth of 2 new stems, fimming will increase this to anything up to 8 new stems according to the precise cut undertaken. This technique has huge implications for increased yields although it is more suited to smaller spaces and the use of some trellis support in order to control the new canopy of leaves and buds which will grow. Lower branches can then be removed in order to focus all of the plants' energies where it will do the most good. Large clusters of dense flowers will result from this practice.
