Banana Kush

Banana Kush is an indica-dominant strain of which OG Kush is the mother and Skunk Kush the biggest component of the father strain. Buds are dense and very sticky while yields are very high. Indoor-grown plants require a 7 - 9 week flowering period and plants grown from seed should be switched to 12 hours of lighting when slightly less than half of the desired finishing height. Towards the end of flowering the smell can get pretty strong so air filters are recommended. The dense buds are somewhat prone to mould in situations of high humidity and therefore good air circulation is essential. While the overall shape and structure of this strain is very indica-like the buds, conversely, have more of a sativa appearance. Manicuring is a straightforward affair as there is little foliage produced during the flowering phase. When broken open the buds have scents of ripe bananas and brown sugar with notes of lemon & lime as well as earthy Kush. A potent, relaxing and euphoric effect is very fast-acting with the sativa side taking a little longer to impart its uplifting, sociable properties.
